Connect BidCV to ChatGPT and Claude: CV data in your bid work in seconds

Most bid teams already use ChatGPT or Claude to read tender documents and write drafts. But the assistant knows nothing about your consultants. So it ends in copy and paste: project descriptions pasted from old CVs, skill lists pulled from a spreadsheet, and someone has to check that the dates add up. That is where the hours go just before the deadline.

You can now connect BidCV directly to your AI assistant. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that lets assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude fetch data from other services. Once connected, the assistant looks things up in your experience bank itself – without you pasting anything.

From tender documents to requirement responses in minutes

Upload the tender documents to the assistant and ask it to find the projects that best document each requirement. The assistant searches your experience bank, reads the full project descriptions and lays out the answer requirement by requirement. What used to be an afternoon of searching and copying now takes a few minutes.

  • “Find my three projects that best document requirement R2 on integration architecture in the public sector”
  • “Write a requirement response of at most 150 words for R4, based on my projects and with quantified results”
  • “Make a table of my certifications and which requirements in the tender they cover”
  • “Write a summary in Norwegian that links my experience to this assignment”
  • “Which requirements do I have weak documentation for?”

What the assistant can fetch from BidCV

  • Profile: name, title, summary and contact details
  • Projects: search by text or tag, and read short and detailed descriptions
  • Skills and certifications, grouped by category
  • Work experience and education
  • Saved CVs, with language, template and which requirements they target

Everything in the experience bank is stored in both Norwegian and English. The assistant can therefore answer in the language the bid must be delivered in, without translating from scratch.

The other way: new projects straight into the bank

The connection works both ways. If you have just finished an assignment, describe it to the assistant and ask it to add the project to your experience bank. The same goes for a new skill or a fresh certification. Your bank is then up to date the next time a bid needs writing.

How to connect

  • Create a free BidCV account and add your projects to the experience bank
  • Add a new connector in ChatGPT or Claude with the address https://bidcv.no/mcp
  • Sign in with your BidCV account and approve access
  • Ask the assistant about your experience – it fetches the data from BidCV itself

Security: only your own data

The assistant only gets access once you sign in with your BidCV account and approve the connection. It sees and changes only your own data, never that of colleagues or other users. Keep in mind that whatever the assistant fetches is sent to the AI service you use. Follow your organisation's guidelines for AI tools, and always review requirement responses and CV text before they go to a client.

Finish in the CV builder

The assistant is fastest at finding and wording. The delivery itself you make in BidCV: pick the projects the assistant pointed out, polish the text and export a clean A4 CV to PDF, Word or PowerPoint – with client names anonymised where needed.

Example: a CV built from the projects the assistant found

The assistant found the three projects that best covered the requirements in a healthcare integration tender. The CV below was put together from them in BidCV.
